Philosophy & Beliefs

Thomas Harrison Middle School invites and encourages students to participate in the athletic program. Athletics teaches students about hard work, responsibility, teamwork, citizenship, leadership, and other life skills necessary to become a successfull and productive member of society. Participation in the THMS athletic program is voluntary and a privilege extended to the student-athlete. All athletes will be required to meet academic and personal conduct guidelines set by the school and their respective coaches or they will not be able to participate in the athletic program. All parties involved in athletics including the coaches, parents, teachers, administrators and spectators should emphasize and model good sportsmanship.
