STEM Explorations Academy
The STEM Explorations Academy serves 7th and 8th grade students from throughout Harrisonburg. The program provides a combination of science content with creative Engineering Design Challenges that integrate seamlessly into a unique learning experience.
Academy students will devote one of their electives to our Engineering Explorations year-long course. This elective combined with their grade level science course will be a 105-minute block each day. This extended learning allows students time to apply scientific principles to real-world problems.

A STEM Explorations Academy student loves figuring out how things work, creating, inventing, exploring, leading, working with others and finding solutions to real world problems.
Goals of the STEM Explorations Academy
